Dan Redford
With over 25 years of experience in international development, Dan Redford is an expert in democratization, election processes, political party and parliamentary development, and strengthening the political participation of women and youth. He has substantive senior-level experience as a political practitioner, and brings to the NDI team a wealth of comparative political experience with the OSCE, EU, and NDI across Europe, Eurasia, and Asia. Prior to his role as NDI Country Director in Kyrgyzstan, he led successful programs for NDI in both Albania and Nepal. Mr. Redford's previous experiences include serving as OSCE deputy head of mission in both Albania and Montenegro, and as political advisor to the EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dan Redford comes from a background in both local and national politics in the United Kingdom, as a former candidate for Parliament and chief whip and executive cabinet member for external communications for his local council, in addition to several positions in the Labour Party.
