Dennis Omondi
Dennis Omondi is the country director of NDI’s Kenya office and manages programs supporting Kenyan efforts to strengthen democratic institutions and advance democratic and governance reforms. Before his appointment, Dennis served in various capacities and roles rising through the ranks to a deputy country director in the NDI Kenya office. Dennis cultivates relationships with strategic partners and manages programs focused on political parties, elections, conflict management and peacebuilding, advocacy, and opinion research. Prior to joining NDI, Dennis worked as a researcher and a monitoring and evaluation expert. He served as the head of research, monitoring and evaluation with the Kenyan-based Africa Development Alternatives, between 2009 to 2011, guiding project implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation of African development programs. Dennis also worked as the head of the applied research department with the Kenya School of Professional Studies designing and managing applied market research projects. During his time with Steadman Group now IPSOS Kenya, he supported social, political, and market research and program management across the continent in Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Dennis has a B.Com in Management Science, an MBA in Operations and Project Management, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Entrepreneurship at the University of Nairobi.
