Monrovia, Liberia – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) will release findings from its international election observation mission for the 2017 presidential and legislative Liberian elections at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Royal Grand Hotel. 

NDI’s 34 member delegation deployed observers in 15 counties across Liberia and is being led by:

TBILISI – The National Democratic Institute (NDI) announced today the arrival of an international delegation to observe the October 21 local elections in Georgia. The group includes 15 international observers who are political and civic leaders, election experts, and regional specialists. The observation delegation is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

A partisan boycott threatened Albania’s 2017 parliamentary elections until an internationally brokered agreement paved the way for the opposition’s participation in the vote on June 25. The incumbent Socialist Party (SP) of Prime Minister Edi Rama won a single-party majority, with 74 seats in the 140-seat parliament. The opposition Democratic Party (DP), led by former Tirana mayor Lulzim Basha, suffered a loss in votes, and returns to parliament with 43 seats.
